A Matching Pair Of Gunther Barbed Arrowheads Found In 1970 In Siskiyou County Of Northern California

Left, these two red and tan jasper Gunther Barbed arrowheads are a matching pair found together in an apparent cache, with a number of other undamaged points, in Siskiyou County of northern California in 1970 by Pat Welch. I purchased them from Pat and her daughter, Jennifer Peterson, in 2009. The larger Gunther has a G-10 grading on the Certificate of Authenticity from Tom Davis. I expect that the second will also receive a similar grade. Additional photographs of these two Gunther Barbed arrowheads are shown below. Under different lighting conditions, you can see the variation of the colors even more clearly in the large single point photograph with the leather background.
